This page will mainly provide resources and help for students with SLDs in the area of reading comprehension.

Students with specific learinng disabilities in reading comprehension benefit from knowing the lesson's objective or purpose before reading. Do we care about details involving a characters or the setting (etc.)? Providing students with graphic organizers or other ways to map or record what they've read. This allows students with slower processing to look over their "notes" and better remember what they have read. Strong teacher modeling of reading comprehension strategies and identification of structures assists students in understanding the cognitive steps to breaking down and understanding a piece of writing. Allowing the student to apply the strategy to several different types and pieces of writing also increases overall comprehension.

While researching, I also found some good information for various reading SLDs.
